How to Drink Water with Celiac Disease Diet
Celiac disease is a chronic autoimmune disease that affects the intestines, causing diarrhea, gas, and swelling.
According to the Mayo Clinic, people who are suffering from this autoimmune disease have an estimated 40,000 to 50,000 cases per year.

To start with, celiac sufferers need to be able to tolerate at least four tablespoons of water a day, according to the Celiac Association.
It also helps to drink at least two cups of water daily, according the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID).
The NIAID says that the ideal water intake should be at least three to four cups of fluid a day.
The Celiac Foundation recommends that individuals drink two cups a day of water.
Water is one of the best ways to help to control and eliminate symptoms of celiac, the Mayo clinic said.
It’s the easiest way to prevent constipation and help to flush the GI tract.
When you drink more than two cups, you may need to take an extra shot of laxatives.
The Mayo Clinic also suggests that if you have chronic disease or have trouble with constipation, a water-filled diet may be helpful.
To help maintain a healthy body weight, individuals who suffer from celiac are advised to eat less than half their daily calories from fat and other unhealthy carbohydrates, according an NIAid statement.
According the NIA ID, this is because these foods tend to be high in fiber and other nutrients.
To reduce symptoms of the autoimmune disease, it’s important to avoid gluten and other wheat-based foods, the NINDS states.
Gluten is a protein found in wheat and rye.
It can also be found in other grains such as oats, barley, millet, and rice.
The NINSD recommends that people with celiac do not eat any grains that are low in fiber, which include corn, barley and rice, and other grains that contain added sugars, such as corn syrup, sugar, and white flour.
